I was born in France and spent parts of my youth in Germany and Brazil, but I’ve lived most of my life in the United States, and I’ve been in the Berkshire region for years. One of my earliest musical inspirations was Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim, the Brazilian composer, pianist, songwriter, arranger, and singer who internationalized Bossa Nova and merged it with Jazz. I play bass, both electric and upright, in many musical genres including reggae, blues, funk, and Jazz. I was a founding member of Eight Foot River and spent several years with the Amy Ryan Band and Rock Steady, before playing with Mary Ann Palermo & First Take, and I’m at work on a number of original songs. I’m still active with my own architectural firm that specializing in residential design and construction, but I have to confess that I love the bull fiddle.
