Eugene Carr

I trained on cello at the Juilliard School, and then earned undergraduate degrees at both the Oberlin Conservatory and Oberlin College. Over the years I’d met the definition of itinerant musician, performing with orchestras and in chamber music groups in over 50 countries. These days, my music is mainly focused in the world of Jazz and free improvisation, including the CD “Alba—Meditations on Sunrise” published a few years back through Manifest Spirit Recordings, and my work with Mary Ann Palermo & First Take.
What is my “real life” and what is my “secret identity”? I think that’s a good question, because I am a graduate of Columbia Business School and the founder and president of PatronManager.com, which provides ticketing and CRM technology to hundreds of non-profit arts and cultural organizations across the country and around the world. I’m now co-founder of another software startup, ALO.ai.
